This summer, kids with IBD can attend a camp with kids just like them. Camp Oasis, offered by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), is open to kids with medical stable Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. For 2009, camps are located in California, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington State, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Camps are also looking for volunteers such as counselors, activity specialists, physicians, nurses, and mental health specialists.

my 8 year old son has crohns . he has had crohns all his life . we just found out what it was a yr ago. he is on remicade treatments for his crohns. he goes every 2 months for 750 mlg of remicade. he also has had swollen limp nodes . and has developed a hole in his sectum in his nose from the crohns. they are not sure what to do about that yet. hes had paricordidis in heart and was in the hospital 7 days from that . he is doing better now. the docs said they have never seen a kid with crohns as bad as he has it. please i need to talk to someone who is going through what we are . thank you.
